60 seconds: Learn to use a Fire Extinguisher

We see them everywhere…so much so that we look right past them.  Yes…we’re talking about the fire extinguisher.  The good news is that most people have never needed to use one. However, the worst time to learn is when you need it.  So here’s a quick video tutorial.  


Keep in mind the Acronym P.A.S.S.


P - Pull the Pin

A - Aim (at the Base of the Fire)

S - Squeeze the trigger

            &

S - Sweep - Side to side


It’s pretty simple, but the last thing you want is to read the instructions on the side of an extinguisher once a fire starts.  The sooner you hit the fire the quicker it goes out.
